Recommended Energy Saver Settings
Open System Preferences and select Energy Saver. To open the pane, choose
Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Energy Saver.
Putnam City Schools recommends these settings:
Select the Battery tab:

“Turn display off after” slider | Set the amount of time your computer or display should wait before going to sleep to at most 15 minutes. Recommended: 5 minutes. |

Go back to System Preferences and choose Security and Privacy. Check the box for “Require password after sleep or screen saver begins.” Set the time to 5 minutes.
